These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for using the Balanced Path Financial website and related online tools (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

Important: These Terms do not replace a signed engagement letter, proposal, or service agreement. If you become a client, the signed agreement governs the professional relationship and specific scope of services.

3) Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Site.

4) No professional relationship just by using the Site

Using this Site, downloading resources, or booking a call does not create a client relationship.

A client relationship begins only when:

we both agree to work together in writing (proposal/engagement letter), and

any required onboarding steps and payments (if applicable) are completed.

5) Educational content

Content on the Site (blogs, guides, templates, checklists, FAQs) is provided for general educational purposes. It isn’t legal advice, and it may not fit your exact situation.

If you want advice specific to your business, that happens inside a formal client engagement.

6) Services and client responsibilities

If you become a client, you agree to:

Provide accurate, complete information (and update it if things change)

Respond to requests in a reasonable timeframe

Maintain access to the accounts/systems you want us to work in

Review deliverables we provide and raise questions promptly

You are responsible for final business decisions and for filings submitted under your name or business, even when we assist.

7) Scheduling, cancellations, and no-shows

If you book a call through our calendar:

Please reschedule or cancel as soon as you can if plans change.

If you miss a call (“no-show”), we may require rescheduling through a new booking link.

(If you want a specific reschedule window like 24 hours, tell me what you prefer and I’ll drop it in.)

8) Payments, refunds, and billing

If you purchase services, you agree that:

Fees, billing frequency, and payment terms will be stated in your proposal/engagement letter and/or invoice

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers

Past-due balances may result in paused work until the account is current (because clean books and clean boundaries go together)

Refunds (if any) and how deposits apply are governed by your signed agreement and invoice terms.

9) Secure portals and electronic communications

You may receive messages and documents through a secure portal (such as TaxDome or similar tools). You agree that:

Electronic communication and e-signatures may be used for onboarding and documents

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure

You will notify us if you suspect unauthorized access

10) Email and SMS

If you submit a form, book a call, or engage our services, you may receive service-related messages (confirmations, reminders, updates). If you opt in, you may also receive marketing messages.

Message frequency may vary. Message & data rates may apply.

11) Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between the Privacy Policy and these Terms regarding data handling, the Privacy Policy controls.

Everything on this Site—text, graphics, worksheets, templates, branding, and downloads—is owned by Balanced Path Financial LLC or properly licensed.

You may not:

Re-sell, re-publish, or distribute our content or templates as your own

16) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Balanced Path Financial LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Site.

If liability is found, our total liability for Site-related claims will not exceed the amount you paid us for Site access (if any) in the 12 months prior to the claim.
